Librestream, the manufacturer of TANDBERG’s FieldView™, announces the transition of FieldView to the Librestream Onsight™ brand
Winnipeg, Canada, January 28, 2010 - Librestream, the leader in Mobile Collaboration and manufacturer of the TANDBERG FieldView product line, announced that its Onsight branded mobile collaboration system will be offered to TANDBERG’s customers in place of the FieldView branded system. Effective July 1, 2010, the FieldView version of the product will no longer be available. The Onsight and FieldView branded systems are functionally and physically equivalent offerings.
Librestream had first entered into a private label agreement with TANDBERG in 2006 to offer its mobile collaboration system through TANDBERG under the brand FieldView. As Librestream’s own Onsight branded mobile system expanded to include new products and software enhancements, the companies decided that partners and customers would be best served by working directly with Librestream.
Kerry Thacher, CEO of Librestream, explained, “When we decided to launch our mobile collaboration system through TANDBERG three years ago, we expected that the relationship would transition to reference selling at some point. Both companies felt that this was the time for customers to work directly with the dedicated manufacturer of the FieldView system.”
Until July 1, customers and partners will have the option of purchasing devices and software from TANDBERG or Librestream. Effective immediately though, maintenance contracts for new FieldView purchases or renewals will be purchased directly from Librestream. After July 1, customers and partners will work directly with Librestream for all FieldView purchases.
During this transition period, both companies are committed to providing uninterrupted service. FieldView customers with active support contracts will be offered upgrades to the latest Onsight software at no charge.
