Public Safety

The Onsight Mobile Collaboration system provides tangible benefits for emergency services, fire/hazmat teams, law enforcement and corrections.

Remote Triage for First Responders:

First responder teams receive calls and have to respond quickly to very difficult situations each day. Onsight brings the experience and knowledge of offsite experts to the emergency scene through live video and two-way audio for real time triage work that can be supervised from a central location. Using Onsight across 3G-4G cellular networks, first responders can send live visuals to the central location for immediate triage decisions.

Fire/Hazmat Offsite Management:

Fire/Hazmat teams can capture and share key first walk through information with offsite site managers, removing time and cost associated with decontamination and travel time required for briefings. The intrinsically safe mobile device, the Onsight 2000Ex, is ideal for potentially hazardous locations. Fire and Hazmat field teams can stream video back to a director or expert on a localized WiFi network or through 3G-4G cellular connections back to head office. Teams can connect with external experts to identify the data needed to diagnose the issue, how it occurred, and monitor the clean up process.

Law Enforcement Remote Assessment:

Forensic specialists or law enforcement personnel can effectively manage multiple crime scenes remotely by using Onsight. Police on the scene can stream live video to offsite experts to leverage their experience and knowledge. By recording the session, critical information can be permanently collected and stored for later use and review.

Corrections:

There is a strong application for a Mobile Telehealth application within Correctional facilities. Instead of hiring medical specialists for onsite consults or transporting inmates to a hospital at great cost to the taxpayer, facilities can use Onsight to diagnose remotely. In these cases, an Onsight mobile device is used within a correctional facility to stream live video and engage in two-way discussions with a specialist to remotely assess a patient and determine the appropriate healthcare plan.
