Telemedicine Advisory Board

Librestream is actively recruiting experts across various industries for its Advisory Board to bring specific domain knowledge, experience and contacts to the company. To date, the company has launched the Telemedicine segment of its Advisory Board with two experienced health professionals.

Telemedicine Advisors

Dr. Ray Postuma MD, B Sc (Med), FRCSC

Dr. Postuma brings a wealth of healthcare and telemedicine experience to Librestream and will assist the company to develop mobile video collaboration solutions for application in the healthcare field.

Ray is a graduate Medical Doctor from the University of Manitoba and retired (2006) Professor of Surgery. He practiced and taught Pediatric General Surgery for thirty years at the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital Health Sciences Centre and the University of Manitoba. He has been recognized nationally for his role in surgical undergraduate education. Ray’s areas of research and investigations include surgical nutrition and the delivery and outcomes of surgical care of infants and children.

Ray is the co-founder and founding Medical Director of MBTelehealth. He also served on the board of the Canadian Society of Telehealth. He continues to advocate for the integration of information communication technology in the care of patients.

M. Elizabeth (Liz) Adair, R.N.

Liz Adair brings vast healthcare and telemedicine experience to Librestream. Her expertise and commitment to excellence in patient care will assist Librestream and our clientele to further develop and explore mobile video collaboration solutions and applications in the healthcare field.

Liz has a rich and diversified background in the healthcare field, and is recognized as one of the driving forces behind the provincial telehealth program in Manitoba. Liz served as the Regional Services Manager for MBTelehealth for five years, and was a key member on the TecKnowledge team that conducted the original Needs Assessments for telehealth services in the province. Liz has been actively involved with telehealth in Canada since 1995. Her credits include; Member of National Change Management working group, Council Member of National Telehealth Coordinators/Special Interest Group (NTC-SIG) and numerous presentations and participation at CST (Canadian Society of Telehealth) annual meetings.

In addition, Liz has an exceptional background in Nursing, Continuing Medical Education and Staff Development with the University of Manitoba, Northern Health Education, and the Burntwood Regional Health Authority, amongst others. Her Nursing career has included work in; Intensive Care, Critical Care, Renal, Management, Surgical and Emergency Departments in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
