Librestream works with market leading organizations such as Cisco Systems, Inmarsat and Verizon Wireless to provide full mobile collaboration solutions to customers. These relationships may include product integration and testing, joint sales and marketing initiatives, and follow-on services.
Cisco Systems
Librestream is a Registered Cisco Developer Network member and has integrated the Onsight system with related Cisco products that add value to the collaboration experience for enterprise customers including:
- Cisco WebEx to bring additional experts into live Onsight sessions quickly and simply
- Cisco's IP telephony Unified Communications products to streamline access to experts
- Cisco Wireless Products to provide effective wireless connectivity for the Onsight mobile devices
- Cisco TelePresence to bring Onsight ‘live feed’ video from the factory floor or field in to scheduled meetings
- Cisco/Tandberg Video Communication Server (VCS) to scale across an enterprise
Librestream’s Onsight is a core component of the Cisco Manufacturing Mobile Video Collaboration (MMVC) solution. For more information, see the Librestream Cisco Solution Profile or the MMVC solution website.
For a video introduction to the joint MMVC solution, watch the Cisco-Librestream MMVC introduction video.
Inmarsat
Librestream is an Inmarsat Connect program member. Together, Librestream and Inmarsat have successfully tested the Onsight system over the Inmarsat BGAN satellite network to provide a mobile collaboration solution for land and maritime satellite connectivity customers.
With an Inmarsat BGAN terminal and a 128 kbps streaming data connection, Onsight mobile devices can quickly connect remote workers to subject matter experts. Commercial enterprises and governments alike can ensure their remotest workers stay connected to the resources they need to solve problems, manage projects, inspect equipment or diagnose patients.
The Onsight mobile collaboration system was tested with the Hughes HNS 9201 and the Thrane & Thrane Explorer 700. Both BGAN terminals provide a built-in WiFi access point for an all-in-one solution. For information on how to configure Onsight over BGAN, see the Onsight Configuration for BGAN Solution document.
Verizon Wireless
Librestream has worked directly with Verizon and its suppliers to test and optimize the Onsight mobile devices for the 4G LTE network. This work was completed through the Verizon Wireless’ LTE Innovation Center. The combined solution extends the power of mobile video collaboration to field locations that now have access to the 4G LTE network. Onsight over the 4G LTE network delivers an impressive video collaboration experience and visually connects locations that were previously difficult to reach.
See the power of this joint solution by watching Onsight speed problem resolution at a wind farm using the Verizon 4G LTE network.
This solution was jointly announced and demonstrated in the Verizon booth at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2011. For more information, refer to the joint Librestream-Verizon press release.
