Using Onsight Devices as Remote Video Inspection Cameras

As industries become increasingly more proactive, companies are seeking tools that will help them remotely inspect equipment, review manufacturing processes and perform safety audits. The Onsight mobile collaboration solution can be used as part of this kind of remote inspection system.

In this application, engineers and technicians operate the Onsight mobile devices as remote inspection cameras. The solution includes both these video inspection cameras as well as Onsight Expert, the collaboration software that runs on the desktops of offsite experts. The collaboration software includes the ability to remotely control the Onsight video inspection cameras to get the visuals they need to complete the inspection from afar.

Using Onsight as a video inspection system, the technician immediately shares live visuals and talks with these offsite experts to assess the status of equipment, review processes and see the environmental conditions. They can also attach 3rd party optics to the Onsight remote inspection cameras such as a borescope to provide visuals from hard to reach areas such as the inside of an engine or pipe.
